Asvini Kumar, CEO, addresses Bentley Students Mr. Asvini Kumar, Founder and CEO, Thinksoft Global Services, delivered a talk on " Why Indian Companies are successful in reaching CMM level 4 and 5"? to a group of students from Bentley College, USA at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. The programme was conducted entirely by Bentley College and Co-ordinated by S.Jagadish (Professor, Quantitative Methods & Information Systems at IIM-Bangalore.
The Students were on an official visit to Bangalore during which they attended some lectures on the Indian IT industry (held at IIMB in the mornings) followed by visits to IT organisations in the afternoons. Asvini's talk was highly appreciated by the Bentley students as it ended up being a frank, objective and forthright exposition covering the main reasons driving the SEI certifications process in India, problems faced by USA outsourcers and the Indian IT co.s. , and some ideas on how to mitigate these risks going forward in order to get the best value for both sides. The later part of the session took the form of a lively Q & A session.
